The EEOC has seen the number of charges alleging sexual harassment decrease over the last few years. However, the number of charges that allege harassment on some other basis have steadily increased. The EEOC continues to seek ways to address this trend and assist employers in reducing the incidents and/or allegations of workplace harassment by providing information, education, and technical assistance.

Objective: To provide attendees with information to reinforce and broaden their understanding of prevention of workplace harassment.

• Overview of unlawful harassment,  to include the EEOC analysis of harassment and employer liability
• Identifying risk factors for harassment
• Understanding the distinction between harassment and bullying, and how they overlap.
• Discuss practical tips and best practices for employers to avoid incidents of harassment in the workplace
