Come join the members of CRSHRM as we discuss how The U.S. Supreme Court’s docket has included several employment cases this year with issues that will inevitably impact employers.  The Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals has continued to be active in the employment arena and continues its march away from its more conservative past, with a number of decisions reversing district court grants of summary judgment for employers.

Hear how these key decisions from the past year will—and should—affect your company’s HR and risk management policies and practices.  This presentation will also update you on recent employment law decisions from the North Carolina appellate courts.

We’ll also take a look at important new legislation, regulations and agency action that impact employers.  As you may have noticed, the NLRB has sought to broaden its relevance by taking some aggressive positions to force non-unionized employers to take note of the National Labor Relations Act.  Amongst those are pronouncements concerning social media and basic at will employment statements.  Given the constant pace of such change, HR departments must be on their toes in order to keep pace with the growing obligations placed on employers.
