CMS' “Undecided” Employment Connections
In an effort to create more awareness for employment opportunities available to graduating high school students, the Career and Technical Education (CTE) department of Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools (CMS), would like to partner with manufacturers in Mecklenburg County. Industries which have viable career opportunities for high school graduates are invited to share a company logo and QR code which links directly to employment listings on the company website. Providing direct exposure to manufacturing opportunities in the community helps students to better understand the variety of jobs and careers they may consider and may not otherwise know are options for them.
The timing of this request is strategic to be shared with upcoming graduates who may have not yet decided what their next steps will be. If you would like to share employment opportunities available at your business to eligible high school graduates, please send a logo and a QR code to Alyssa English at the contact information listed below.
Please submit your information no later than Friday, May 7th.

SPECIAL NOTICE
The Charlotte Regional Film Commission is assisting in a location search for a functioning factory that could double as a tire factory in a movie. The setting is 1975-1997 and requires a visually interesting setting inside the facility. Filming will take place from late September to Thanksgiving. Production will require between 1 to 4 days inside the factory, only in designated areas, and not in the entire operation. There will be compensation for filming at a selected industry.
For questions or to be considered, please contact Beth Petty at 704.806.1791 (mobile) or bpetty@charlottefilm.com.
